Not Sure what to do .......??

There not quit 2 weeks. Not sure how old they were when I got them at TS. Got them the first day they had them. Waited 2 hour before they would sell them to me. Just like to start planning early. Don't like to wait till the last min. lol.

I'm a newbie and I really never thought about it. I have 6 chicks (egglayers) in the brooder right now and once the coop gets done my sister is going to give me 3 grown egglayers so we have egg production sooner. So at some point we will be mixing the 6 youngsters with the 3 grown hens. It's good to have this information for when we need to get them together! Thanks again!

I keep my chicks separate from my adult birds until they are 5 months old so they don't eat the adult food. I have found that the adult chickens prefer the chick feed over the adult feed and will gobble it all up if they can get to it. My chicks are introduced to the older birds in the outdoor pen every day so that when 5 months comes around they are completely accepted as part of the flock.

That's about what I thought. My chickens eat anything!! But again I would have to build another pen, and can't do that right at the moment. Guess I will just play it by ear. Everybody had good ideas!
