I use the tsc brand nd it works great, I just mix it a little stronger then recommended. My yard is littered with thistle and from what I've read the thistle seeds can last up to 20 years before germinating. I spot treat 2 or 3 times a year. We hav a huge problem with multiflora rose an invasive species. Only way to get rid of it is to cut and spray on the cut end. Round up can also kill large trees. Cut a slice and pour in. Takes a few applications but I've done it in hunting spots to remove unwanted trees opening up areas for. More game friendly varieties.
