Hi everybody, I’m New chicken mama and right now. I have seven lil ones.. my question is what do I do I have to 3 that are almost 3weeks old and there big girl feathers look like they’re coming in maybe almost pullet but can I keep them with the smaller ones still until they all get full feathered..or should I put the bigger ones in a separate spot? Thank you

Welcome to BYC! :welcome :frow

if you dont have a separate spot for them, they can stay together. thats what i did just make sure they arent cramped

Welcome aboard! When to put youngsters outside depends heavily on your location. It would help if you added that to your profile. If your chicks aren't fully feathered and your nights get chilly, then putting them outside may not be a good idea unless they have a heat source out there. You can try putting a divider in the brooder so everyone can get heat and still see each other. If there is a significant size/age difference, that's probably your best bet. If the bigger chicks are just developing more quickly, the others will likely catch up, shortly. You'll be amazed at how much they change and grow over just a day or two!
