LOL. So I spent most of last spring researching chicken breeds for the 3 chicks I was going to get for my little urban coop. I chose a Salmon Faverolle, Silver Laced Wyandotte and my boyfriend chose a Rhode Island Red. Everywhere I read was saying to make sure the Faverolle doesn't get picked on to much and that they are very docile and quiet, so I was all worried the others would pick on her, yeah right! She's nuts! LOL, chases the others and bosses them, hates me touching her and loves to make noise, she alerts the others of anything new happening in the yard. The Red remains in charge when she gets out of hand, jeez they're fun to watch. And my Wyandotte which I had read places was going to be be loud and possibly pushy never makes a peep or bothers anyone. And the RIR is the sweetest chicken ever! She cuddles and runs up to you, not aggressive at all like some websites said they can be. I just thought I'd share, I love those 3 goofy girls and they're getting so big!! (4 months now)
Have a great day everyone:)

I have 1 standard salmon fav. (Sammy), a 3 month old bantam salmon fav (Mini Me), and a bunch of bantam chicks that are about 2 weeks old now. Mini

to be held and petted, but still leads the pack in her age group. Sammy is just silly... Not a terrible amount of light comin' from that bulb - if you know what I mean

But, I just love her! Poor girl was a mess when I got her, not laying, started crowing

, and looked like she'd been through the war. She started looking better, stopped crowing

, and was laying every day. Then she just stopped laying

, then my dogs got out and she did go through the war

. She is doing great now, but I'm not sure she will lay an egg ever again (she was supposedly around 2 years old when I got her), but she will always have a happy home right here with us!

Have a WONDERFUL time with your flock!! They sound like great entertainment! You should post a couple pics of them
