not to bright ?

Hi, i have a blue laced red wyandotte rooster and 9 hens with him. I added 4 buff orpington pullets a couple of months ago and they are squatting for me and have even layed an egg but, the rooster is ignoreing them and hasn't mated with any of them. Has anyone else had this happen?

It will probably take some time for them to all get integrated. Right now the roo is probably setting them in line and they aren't his favorites yet. Or, he is mating them when you aren't looking.

I don't think he's mating with them because there isn't size 13 muddy feet prints on their backs like the leghorns and red stars have.
I have one leghorn that looks chocolate covered on top
