Not well

Were at the vet. They said her stomach is full of water. If we take her home she will die. They said they could do test and surgery but cant guarentee she will live.

Were going to miss her and will let her go peacefully at the vet .
Best of luck to that chicken then. Hope she gets better, losing any family ani animal can difficult.
 
Oh, sorry, I was posting as you wrote your last 2 posts. It sounds like she has ascites which can be from liver or heart failure, and is frequently seen in reproductive problems. Sorry for your loss, but euthanizing her is probably for the best, so that she doesn’t suffer.

They were not sure they could keep her alive even if we spent all the money. We unfortunately had her euthanized and put to sleep so she would not suffer.

We unfortunately had her euthanized and put to sleep. They couldn't guarantee anything if we spent money to spare her life. Didn't want to see her suffer and die within days.

I get it. My last two chicks that I did with my current ducklings, didnt survive the night.
