Hello. I live in rural central Pennsylvania. I don't yet have chickens. It may happen some day; I seem to be getting sucked into the world of backyard chickens through relationships I've developed while blogging about kitchen gardening.

I attended the Pennsylvania Farm Show last week where I spent time with hundreds of chickens. To amuse my new on-line chicken-loving friends I took a lot of pictures and made a video called Sixty Chickens. I thought the video might appeal to participants of this forum.

So, by way of introduction, I invite you to enjoy 60 Chickens at the following link: Sixty Chickens.

I'm not selling anything, just offering up some entertainment. And, I'm looking forward to learning more through this forum about raising chickens.

That's a lot of chickens. Thanks for the look! Perhaps you could have a contest and see if people on here could come up with funny phrases to add to each chicken? We tend to be a comical bunch around here

congdon476: Interesting idea, and it would be fun. I'm afraid I'd never find time to update the video. But thanks for the heads up about humor. I'll try to be funny if I ever have something relevant to post.

tunaoftheland: Thanks! Isn't the Farm Show awesome? I spent four days there this year and did two videos about the show in general; they're also on YouTube. The first one has more chickens in it starting at 1 minute and 30 seconds: Farm Show 2009 - 1

Dawn419: Thanks! Seems like a friendly place so far.

Love the videos! Great shot of the mounted officers. I love watching the chicks hatch! You went earlier in the week than I did this year, by the time we got there there were no eggs, just fuzzy peeps.
