Well, the chicks where getting crowded in their little brooder so I NEEDED a bigger one. PLUS I'm getting more chicks in 2 weeks. I just HAD to find another brooder TONIGHT

A few zipties, chicken wire, and a rug for them to snuggle against since their teddy was thrown out and WHALA!

There are some things I need to do, Get some cardboard bumpers to hold in bedding, and get a top. That will be done tomorrow.

And work it does. I adjusted the light where they can be right below it or far away from it. The chicks need 95-85 degrees because of age gap. I have it covered with a sheet right now, since that light is bright and it's in my room. I made sure they can keep cool, and it's 96 right below light, and 83 in darkest corner, so it's all good

That is so perfect! I love it!

And ArizonaSilkies - where are you located? I'm in southern AZ.

I have cardboard I'm going to put around the bottom, but it's late and the shed is past the dog yard on the edge of the woods. NOT sure I want to go out there
