Ok, so I rarely paint my nails, but today i did. then, when I went out to spend some quality time with the chickens, they tried to eat my fingers and toes. they would not stop, I had to leave. I guess the bright shade of red I put on looks too much like a juicy berry.
Guess I'll have to get some nail polish remover.

How funny! I'll remember that about RED next time I'm in a hurry and can't for the LIFE of me get them back in the coop. (Very spoiled chickies around here...)

Yup, same here...rarely use nailpolish but the other day the chickens discovered my painted toenails.......and they always go for the skinny gold toering too

Sounds like they had a pretty good time, even if you didn't.

You did know that chickens are attracted to the color red, right? It triggers their feeding instinct, as it is easily confused with blood in their feeble minds.

Make a mental note to self: wear boots in the chicken yard, regardless of the season.

That's an interesting fact. so they love red? I want to try that now, maybe put on a bright red T-shirt.

I wear flip-flops all the time so my toenails are always painted. My girls never pay attention to my toes. I visited my sister today to visit her new babies and 2 of her buff orrpingtons would not leave my bright pink toes alone! I had to leave the pen.
