If you have two scenthounds(Wienerdog and Basset) do not fall asleep right after eating some steakpieces without washing your hands. I snoozed on the couch with my hands on the floor and woke up with a pain in my fingers. My Basset pinched my finger because it smelled like Mesquite steak. Cant blame him. Should have put him in his bed before passing out. Now i am awake again .Guess i watch Foodnetwork now.

I used to have a basset! Loved him to bits, but you couldn't expect him to leave food that he could reach - And when he stood on his back legs he was REALLY tall!!!

Do you know the Fred Basset cartoons? It is not until you have a basset that you reallize that he knew them!!! (Graham? Somebody or other)

Careful. That could have ended in an unfortunate news headline like " Fort Riley Woman Wakes Up Missing Three Fingers . . ."
