its day 23 and i have had the incubator set to 100 degrees and have added water regularly as i was told to do. The temp has ranged from 97-102 degrees just because of taking the top off and adding water regularly but was not at those temperatures for anymore than 15-20 minutes because i was on top of it as best i can. I have 12 eggs and not one has pipped, chirped, moved, or anything. i put them in warm water to see if they were alive or if there was anything in them and it turns out the the egg floated and looked like the chickens "kicked" while in the water. I would like to know if i should do anything to assist this hatching because i have read online that if there has been nothing after the 22nd day it may be time to step in. i am also new to this. thanks!

Okay just put the sponges in with the eggs? How much longer do you suggest I wait? Thanks so much

Also I have 4 air holes in the top? Should I cover them up? Eggs have 0 movement unless I put them in water

wow, never seen a bator like that. that one hole is pretty big, your thermometer is not the best and nothing to check humidity. i have hatched a few like that.. ok, best GUESS. its probably not as warm as it should of been, humidity not high enough because of that BIG air vent and large eggs. i would give it 2 more days or candle them.
