Yes they did and said that 14 days is the cut off! So who knows lol. when the new eggs get here i Will break one open and let you know what's inside!

No, I didn't mean to break the NEW eggs. I meant one of the old eggs that the chicken has been sitting on for 23 days.

I knew what you meant but Will wait for New ones so i can put them in and take old ones and then check them.

Ok, so the new eggs have arrived and i have taken the old ones out and replaced them with the new ones. I have 6 buff sussex hopefully fingers crossed in 3 weeks time!

Anyway I opened the old eggs, 2 of them were black and disgusting inside and 2 of them were just a yellow liquid so clearly not good eggs!!

I have candled the new ones and going to search for some images to see what they should look like before they are sat on. Would like to candle each week but really don't want to jinx the process and end up with no chicks again

it usually take upto 4 to 5 days before you can see anything in there.
I would put the new ones under the broody and candle them only on 4th or 5th day.
By then (usually) you should see black spot, some veins etc.
