I thought that was a really nice touch. I'd love to see a picture of your hens and Fred. I'll bet he's really handsome.

Most of the time they lay in the garage, and that's where these were too. It was a really good spot, out of the way, well protected. And right now, with the grass on hold til spring, very quiet. Sometimes a chicken is easier to find than eggs.

Barnyard, this is a great swap you've done.

I agree! I have enjoyed it immensely, and can't wait till next time......goodness, hubby will certainly kill me if I keep this up! Oh well, if he decides to act crazy, I'll still have the chickens to keep me company.

Ya know, I intended to include some pictures of my guys, and I wish I had, I guess now I HAVE to learn how to post pics on here......great

(I have computer technical issues) I freak out when it comes to doing stuff like that! But for you, I guess I'll suck it up

I so hope you get ladies outta those, my leghorns are laying machines, very dependable, and when my RIR hen was with us, she layed like champ too, so I hope Fred passes that along.

So glad you got them before Thanksgiving. Hope you didn't have any casualties...my first time shipping. It was above freezing here today as well. Here's hoping you have a good hatch.

They made it just fine,They are in the bator as of lastnight.I have to say it was a great surprise because I just bought some Pullets in Oct.and Lost all but one. Due to the others picking on them and stress.I didnt catch in time then the temps.
This gives me a second chance so all worked out well.Cant wait till next time.

Got my eggs yesterday - thank you John! They tried to deliver them Saturday, but nobody was home and back to the post office they went. DD picked them up.

Fun swap and nice job Tiffany!!

I have been told practice makes perfect. Seems like we are in a great group of people who have been practicing...almost looks like it might become addictive?

How many do you have moving? That's unbelievable that it is hatch time for those already! It doesn't seem like it has been that long since I sent them to you! I believe there were 9 that survived the trip right?

all were moving the other day when i checked them. it is 8 or 9 to be moved to the hatcher. i have so many at different times in there. i have one sf of my own. 21 others for lowcountrypoultry all going strong and seven from today. leaves only a spot or two in the bator. i better find some from my own girls to fill it up.
