My partner's eggs went out yesterday Priority so they should arrive Sat. at their place. The only clue I will give is they went south for the winter. I'm hoping the person gets them has excellent luck and a great variety a pretty mixed chicks. In the spring I will seperate my breeds back into their breeding pens and coops so I can do purebred swaps. I just hatched some cute mixed babies from my flock all running around together and it's kinda fun trying to see if I can figure out which rooster is the father and which hen is the mother of the chicks. They are calling for Snow tomorrow so I will watch closely for the mail in case my eggs arrive to me so they don't down at the box hanging in a bag down there and freeze. My old mail carrier would bring all the packages up here but we got a new one and he just puts the box hanging on the mailbox. GRR!

I would think since next month is such a big thing with the holidays, the send date should be more like the 15th, so they don't get stuck in the mail. I know with christmas cards and stuff, they don't even guarantee that priority will take 3 days. And since the cutoff for sign up is the 10th, then whomever signs up should know whether they will have the eggs at the end of the sign up. I doubt anyones chickens would stop laying that fast, and if so, then they should send them immediately.

It is maybe 1000 feet, and I'm no expert, but I believe a mile is over 3000 feet. Now it might be 1/2 mile to the house and back out to the road, but I doubt it! He's just too lazy to bring them up!

Ok people. Alot of good points have been made. I guarantee that I will make the appropriate changes to next months swap. I am beginning to get the impression that you do not like the way this swap went. If that is the case then I am sorry. I did the best I could.
