I managed to sleep through the night. I think this was just a 24 hour flu as I am feeling much better this morning. At least I no longer need the bucket.

EGG UPDATES: I checked the eggs and one of the brownies has pipped! Right now I am prepping one of the little rooms in my house with a heater and bright lights (so the video will turn out clear). Once Mr. Brownie comes out of his shell, I will quick go for the blue egg and take it over to the other room to score and pip both ends.

Update: I needed to add more humidity to my bator so I opted to quick stuff a big wet warm sponge in there and grab the blue egg in the process. The twins were quitters in this case. I did video tape me opening the egg, and I did take pictures of them once they were out. I'm disappointed. But obviously these guys weren't as healthy or strong as Rebecca's twins, since hers did manage to pip the egg and were chirping at her. My guys seem to have quit... I dunno, a few days ago? Their yolk was still pretty big. Mine were also in someone's refrigerator for a few days prior to me starting the incubation process.

Do you still have the twins in that giant brown egg? How are they faring?

I'm glad it was the stomach bug variety- I thought you meant the influenza, and I'm certain I don't even want to consider getting that ever again...I'm so glad you feel better!

Too bad about the blue twins; they look perfect and it's a shame they didn't make it!

rscrvc, the giant brown egg twins quit a while ago. One of the yolks had developed into an early chick, and the other one hadn't at all. So no more twins due this hatch. In the future I will only set jumbo+ sized double yolkers if I try again for twins.

rubyv67, OK, I will work on uploading that video tonight. It will take a while though as I am on dial-up.

But... for these being refrigerated eggs, I am pleased to say I have my third pip. The first pip was on one of the brown eggs, but I notice a slight green undertone... so I am wondering if it's an EE mutt. The inside of the egg will tell me once its hatched, and it is starting to zip. The second pip is in the darkest of my brown eggs. The third pip is in the little pink/lavender egg. I haven't seen the green egg move at all since I took them off of the turner... I have a feeling it's a quitter. The other two brown eggs... they've got nice smooth shells and only twitched a bit the first day or two after I took them off of the turner. They've been pretty immobile since then. They may or may not be quitters. Man is it tough waiting sometimes.

P.S. I think I am over the flu... but my 7-year-old was the first to get sick Friday night (so what this spells for me, I am unsure). We thought she was over it as she felt fine all day today... but then just before bed she left me a huge present in the bathroom I had to clean up.

I'm going to take her to the med center tomorrow... she was a bit incoherant tonight. But she's also exhausted. I'm keeping an eye on her and making her drink gatorade when she's awake, or eat popcicles. Someone needs to suggest a smiley that says "Being Sick Sucks!" on that smiley thread.
