Hi whether or not you have any chicks tonight, you should not lift her until Day 22 is complete which will be 6:00 PM tomorrow. If there are chicks they will come out for you to see, but if there are pips, you run the risk of drying up their membranes. I usually put towels soaked with hot water around the nesting area walls on Day 21, to get some extra boost of humidity. But again my broody is inside on Day 21 with dry heating so that is needed. Maybe not needed in your environment.Okay, this is my first time hatching. I've got five eggs under my silkie. I set them at 6:00 p.m. on October 16th, today is th 21st day....I think. I am wondering if I should be hearing or seeing anything at this point? I haven't messed with the eggs since Friday, as I didn't want to cause any damage. I'm at work right now....so will check her tonight when I get home. BUT, I'm hoping to have some babies soon!!!
