his left foot and right eye had issues. Now he's getting along much better.

So happy to see chicks! So sad when you have any that don't make it. Congrats to all. Sorry this is short, my prego daughter's car caught on fire today due to an electrical short. She is fine but was hysterical and now carless. Luckily she is staying with hubby and me for a while. Just tired after all the excitement.
Lock down for me is Thursday and so looking forward to Saturday. Hopefully no more drama to keep me away from home.

I've got a peeper with an internal pip. I don't have the heart to tell the little guy he's unfashionably early. Looks like another sleepless night for me!

On the last hatch my only living egg pipped internally and then died seven hours later. :(

Oh no, sir. I ain't having that in my house. This one's going to live. DO YOU HEAR ME LITTLE PEEPER?! You will LIVE! Live or you're grounded!

Aw shucks. It's time to go stare at some eggs in a decidedly unhealthy way. I'll talk to you guys later.

@Antiquity Good Luck on your hatch! I've been there Antiquity you'll be sane again after a couple more hatches! I'm still fighting the urge to order and incubate more eggs on a daily basis but I have five birds now that is the city limit.

Oh I'm doomed... My city doesn't have a limit. >_>

In other news, the chick appears to be gasping in the shell. It looks too much like the last one. I think I've made the decision to intervene here in the next hour of he doesn't perk up. QUICK: Someone talk me out of it.

Too late. I've been checking on the little guy frequently. He hasn't cheeped since dinner time and he was barely gasping anymore. I entered the egg at 1:40 to find a dry membrane and a teeny tiny pip into the air cell. I made him a breathing hole and wrapped him in a damp cloth. I guess I'm definitely committed to interfering now, for better or worse. I couldn't live with another dead chick while I stand by and do nothing. After 33 eggs worth of failure I'm at least going to try.

Hope all turns out ok!
