November hatch along, anyone?

Yes! 30% protein is good for starting quail. I can't find game bird feed around here, so mine have to eat turkey starter crumbles. I try to grind it up a bit for them the first few days. I also sprinkle a bit on the floor of the brooder so they find it. The breeder I got some of mine from also told me to put a bit of sugar in their water the first two days.

Good I feel better now I could not find anything that said it was a starter other than regular chick starter but it has a low protein content. Thank you guys, gals

I can't see inside of some greenish (more Blue) eggs, I have a darker blue egg layer and I see in that one fine. I see inside my maran eggs fine too. But it seems the green ones are tough to see through. Not sure why. It could be that my greenish egg layer just started laying and her egg might have a thicker shell.

The green inside is probably blue tint that is why they are harder to see also

I candled my shipped eggs again. All four had started to develop, but one looks like it may be a quitter. The shells must be thick, because I couldn't see anything on day 4! I am really excited to see if some hatch!I still have a week and a half on those eggs.The three eggs from my chickens are all doing great and are due in 4 days! I hope I get to post pictures of fluffy chicks soon!

I think it is lots fun to hatch our own eggs pretty quick I will have a black copper marans
cockerel he is a sweetheart comes to me to pet him see if that stays as the hormones kick in
