November Hatch -- Who's going to have late fall babies?

waiting is so hard!

Went on lockdown today! Super excited about the eggies hatching! A little nervous as this is my first time hatching. We heard them peeping a little this evening. Isn't it too early? I read that it's because they are too warm?

No pips yet, but I've definitely seen some eggs moving! There IS life in there!

I do pretty good for days 1-19, but this is the time where I get really impatient and worried. ETA: the outdoor humidity has jumped up considerably, especially at night. We are having horrible weather. Inside the bator was pushing 70% so I opened the other vent hole to let a little out! I know once they start hatching it goes sky high anyway, but I don't want them to drown if I can avoid it.

Good luck ekemily my first hatch turned out great so I hope yours does too!!

Better luck with your next hatch, emvickrey

Had 9 of 18 duck eggs hatch...not the greatest but most of them were shipped. The air cells on those were absolutely huge and stretched all across the egg. My cochin bantam hen hatched 4 of 6 of her eggs, though I found one dead in the nest. I think it got too far away from her and got chilled.

No more hatching expected here until sometime next month, just a few ducks, d'uccles, marans, and an OEGB egg. Hopefully I can quit after that for a few weeks

thanks! I'm so worried about the babies! One has hatched and looks like it's doing great. I see some more beaks poking out and breathing. Hopefully, all will go well from here. I am NOT opening the bator for anything!! It's tough though.

I had some oebg eggs that the air cells where just horrific. None of them survived shipping or where just not fertile to begin with because none of them even started to grow. I put them in the incubator and waited nearly 2 weeks. I knew they where goners but I was hoping for something. It's a huge disappointment when you pay for eggs and don't even get 1 chick.

I had 2 sizzle eggs hatch and one of them is looking to be frizzled. They are beautiful chicks. One looks like it's going to be frizzled and the other has a poofy puff ball on it's head. They are both so cute.
