Hello! I have 3 Black Australorp pullets — or so I think. They’re just about 7 weeks old. One may be moonlighting as a roo. It’s comb and wattle are redder than the other two and this morning I swear I heard an attempt at a crow. Then again...maybe it was just clearing its throat! What do you think? Too soon to tell?
Attaching pictures of the mystery chick and one of the pullets for comparison.

The wattle growth may indicate a male. It will be more helpful to see them without the wire.

a pic from the side, while the mystery chick is standing will help. Adding in another one, for comparison is fine. When they are standing, we can see feathering, leg color and size, and stance. All are helpful. To better contain the bird(s) during photo shoot, use laundry basket on its side, or clear storage container on its side.

Hopefully these help! This one definitely has a more pronounced wattle than the others. These pics are all of the mystery chick.

I'm seeing mostly rounded feathers around the saddle area....which would make me think female. But those WATTLES!! For 7 weeks, it is more growth than I would expect for a 7 week female.

Leaning towards cockerel for now, but time will tell. 7 weeks is still too early to base guesses off feather shape, as pointed male plumage doesn't usually develop until the 3-5 month mark depending on breed and individual.
Their genders should be quite evident now.

Update OP?

I’m starting to second guess myself with this chicken again. 18 weeks now and still no eggs. Anyone able to confirm?
