Now I KNOW it's not my bator! CHICKIES!!!

Oh my gosh! So cute. Thank you for the pics! They help me get through the days of waiting. I'm only on day 4 of our first ever hatch. I'm handling the wait okay for now. The last week will be torture. We'll all be off from school that week!!!

Congrats on your new chicks...that's great that that hatch worked out for you.

I am a little confused by these comments tho.

Yes, these were in the same bator as the others! The buttons were in a differnt one, but the BO and the other bad eggs were all in this same bator!

Okay...I have a BIG problem...I got 37 eggs from this guy...Mille fleur d uccle, japanese, spanish, wyandotte, and lamona...ALL of them candled clear but ONE...That's 36 that didn't make it to even START developing...Any ideas?

And, I had 6 phoenix and 6 EE eggs from an ebay seller...Not one of them candled anything but clear...

And let's see, 10 BO eggs if I recall correctly.

That is a total of 37+12+10 = 59 plus the cochins you just hatched, so 69 eggs in a single little styro bator. Little Giants typically only hold 46 eggs and hovabators 42. Were you trying to incubate and hatch all of these eggs in that one bator?

Some of the other eggs were REALLY small (there were japanese bantam eggs that are MAYBE a tad bigger than a quarter. 12 of those) And mille fleur and spanish bantams aren't much bigger. The biggest eggs I had in there were the one lamona, 2 wyandottes, and the BO eggs. I never once blamed anyone for bad eggs, never mentioned a name or asked for a refund. Almost all of the eggs were bantams, excluding the BO (10) and wyandotte(2) eggs. I've read elsewhere (even in the guide) that the bators hold more than 46 eggs when they're bantam and quail. They all had room to breathe and circulate air around the entire egg.
I feel like I'm being attacked and it's not fair. If you have something against me PM me or email me, but please do not be rude to me in front of the entire forum.
If you'd like me to leave, please just say so.

I am sorry you felt that way as that's not what I meant by my post. Sorry for asking. I didn't realize it was a touchy subject. I was just trying to understand how you got all those eggs in one bator and how the incubating and hatching went.

Jody

I'm sorry, but I was told to drop that subject, as it could have been anybody's fault. It could have been mine, but it seems odd that so many clear eggs could come from one person. It is a touchy subject as I got blamed for flamming when I never once mentioned a name. And since then (and a few other incidences) I feel like I'm not welcome here. That's all I'm going to say.
