Well, for those of you who grimaced with me over the whole 2-legged menace ordeal ~ ( https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=73353 )

I thought I would show off some pics of my ladies ~ ( only one poor hen out wandering the neighborhood still ~ don't know if she'll ever make it back ~ we just can't find her. )

Anyway ~ here they are:

My daughter & my favorite of all chickens ( the one I was REALLY UPSET about losing, thank GOODNESS I found her!!!) Coco, our 16wk cochin pullet. To me, she looks like a hawk sort of ~ but she is the sweetest chicken EVER!

We have 13 chickens in all ( well, 12 now, I guess, since Piper is still AWOL).

windtryst ~ Thank you! well, I actually thought she was a cochin, but it turns out she is really a dark brahma. Murray McMurray Hatchery sells them, as do a few private breeders. I guess they are a bit rare, but I was lucky, and picked her out of a tub of leftover chicks at the feed store. She is the nicest, most docile, calm chicken EVER. She comes up to me ON PURPOSE to get held. She doesn't seem to care whether or not I have treats, she just wants to be where the humans are. Next year, when I can get a few more chicks, I am going to get more brahma's & some cochins, as well. Living in Idaho as I do, they are perfect for our colder winters.

Thank you everyone ~ I feel tremendously blessed that I was able to round up 12 of the 13 chickens. An expensive lesson, cost us a chicken, but the coop is now padlocked, and the fence will be done soon, also with padlocks. And, biggest blessing of all, perhaps, my neighbor now realizes she needs to keep a closer eye on her kids.
