I agree. Some animators/writers/etc of children's programs make a game out of trying to see what they can slip past the censures. Animaniacs is a pretty good example (from my generation at least)

I would give examples of some other cartoons but I'm afraid some children on this board will look the scenes up.

my niece and nephew loved them. Guess who was their main babysitter over the years?

I could deal with barney. At least he tried to teach kids things and some of the songs were catchy.

The tellitubbies were just obnoxious.

I'm starting a therapy group for tellitubby survivors.

Now that I am older and watch old style cartoons and certain spongebob episodes I notice some adult themes that no one notices except the adults.

Have ya ever watched the Bugs Bunny cartoon where Bugs is Goldilocks? There is a calendar on the wall that has the outline of a naked woman on it. It only shows it fleetlingly, as Goldilocks skips by. I nearly fell out laughing when I saw that!!

I remember that one. I noticed it and showed my wife and we were laughing histerically.

Also the cartoon "red rider" when Bugs attempts to de-clothe the red rider with a magnet,the next scene you see red rider wearing a fig leaf and nuttin else!

Too funny!

I love that one scene with Bugs Bunny playing conductor and the tenor turned into all different colors when singing the high notes...now if I can find it, I would be grateful!

I have a tenor friend that reminds me of that cartoon character. It was hilarious!
