Mine similarly surprised me this week. One time he ran a dog off that was harassing my birds. He told me about it and said he was gonna load his .22 for next time. I appreciated him saying that but I didn't really expect much of it. This particular dog was wanted dead or alive over the deaths of SEVERAL birds. I haven't seen it since July though. Said neighbor told me last week that he'd shot it. I was kinda shocked, and elated! Of course if any of the other neighbors ask, we don't know a thing. I was kind undecided about this neighbor, didn't know how he felt about my roosters and such, but now I know he's on “my“ side. Its good to have a good neighbor!
