Good morning!! I ended up breaking down and sitting next to the bin for a while then army crawling away to bedHow’d the night go?
Those are great ideas, see I'm not used to this lol. I know they were both up early as food and water were empty. Now I'm pretty sure Cocoa sets Moon off with the screaming, but he/she was also in a tank cramped with huge pekins. Wonder if an upside down sm bin with a hole cut out will work with stuffed bunny inside will make them happy lol. I was contacted by a lady wants me to come get a cross beak silkie from her, I already have one. It's never ending! Both were screaming? Do you have a small mirror you can put in their brooder? Even when I had more than one duckling in my brooder they loved laying in front of the mirror. And maybe make them a cave so they have something to get under. Like they would do their mama?
Yup still have to break it to hubby we may have another misfit coming. No not cold, they lay down instantly when the new one sees you. Going to move them into bigger brooder today for more room and I have toys hung all around it! They are currently being amused by a baby toy lol. I have little dishes still in with them so less mess but will have to upgrade today!!! I know just like the farrier was joking that I was starving my horsesSomeone has your numberI’d try setting them up with something they can feel secure in. Yes stuffed bunny too. Could they be cold? And running out of food and water my goodness mom how could you? lol. With mine I took a box starters out small when they were tiny put doggie pea pad on the bottom old towel would work too I cut a door so they could go in an out and put their stuffed chicken in they loved their little box this was when I was using heat lamp. Once I got the heat plate set up they just went under it.
I don't know about grinning it, but he definitely bears it lol. Sounds great, I appreciate all the help, oh boy do I need it. Yes they are definitely worth the work!Someone is in training and it ain't the ducklings!!
Hopefully hubby will just grin and bear it like mine does. lol
Make the waterers like we showed you and put the water container and the feed bowl on a broiler pan or cookie sheet to help contain the mess. I put a pee pad under the containers which also helps. They are messy critters no doubt about it. But so worth it.
I sure will. Hey why will my khaki only eat it's food from the water dish? I have to dump food in the water dish and it eats out of that. I have not seen it eat from the food dish right next to the water!!!Hey post a pic when you get them in their new brooder it can help someone else that is starting out with ducklings. Thanks.
