I just got a call from my doctor. We've known for a while that I'm headed towards diabetes. I have been on a low glycemic/low carb diet. I was informed that my A1C was really bad as well of some other tests. Now I'm looking for info online about a true "diabetic" diet. Does anyone else deal with this? What do you eat? Is there a rule of thumb about protein/carb ratio? Any info will help. Thanks in advance.
P.S. Thats why I got my chickens this year so I could have my own egg supply lol (eggs are a staple in low carb diet)
