Ok, so I just lost one cockeral, his face was swollen and he was puffed up and acting sluggish before he died. That was a little over a week ago I think (although I'm time warped, so bear with me lol) and I thought maybe he'd just got whooped good by one of the hens (a few of my hens are little snots.) So today, I have a hen with a very pale comb, earlobes, wattles, etc, and her face is pretty swollen. She's acting pretty sluggish but still follows me around somewhat, eats, and drinks (if I bring it to her, she doesn't feel like jumping up on the tank.) She's more swollen on the left than the right, and she's maybe 4-5 years old (oldest hen I own...) A little ruffled, but not puffed up. Doesn't appear to have a hard time breathing. Thoughts?

P.S. I don't have a way of posting pics, unfortunately.

A month or two ago, my Thai rooster have swollen face. His face is bloat up looks like he's been bit by some insect or got poison by eating the poison insect. he walks skipping steps, and after 2days I've found him dead. I never found out what actually did happens to him, the rest of the chickens were fine.

A swollen face usually goes along with respiratory type infections. If there is a really "rotten" smell around chickens nasal area it could mean coryza. If not it could be several other types of virus or bacterial respiratory conditions.
Coryza is also accompanied by " bubbles" coming out of chicks eyes.
Keep sick chicken isolated from others.
Do a search on BYC for words like, bronchitis, coryza, gape breathing.

She doesn't seem to have any breathing problems is what gets me. Neither did that cockeral. No nasal discharge, gaping, wheezing, rattling, bubbles anywhere. That's what's getting me. Usually you can look at a bird and at least have an idea of what's wrong, but this has got me stumped...

No, it's not rained here for a while. Sleeted overnight a couple weeks ago but they would've been in the coop for all that mess.

BTW, thanks for the links Yvonne37894 & RachelFromTheBlackLagoon.
