Now When Do Those Hatch? Oh Dang!!

I brood them in the garage for the first week and a half, and then they go to the insulated metal shed. It stays about 65 in the winter with a small heater so I can use a really small heat lamp. I would keep them in the garage longer, but they get to stinkin.

Nope, but a few have cracked shells. It is only day 16 so they are starting a day earlier than usual. They usually hatch late on day 17. I'll post a pic in a few minutes or morning. I don't know how much longer I'm gonna stay up.

I know all about the STINK'IN... I have been use'in a lot of pine shavings and change'in it out every other day. Not bad but you can smell'em. I think its the feed I smell mostly thou. Most homes with a cat smell stronger that the quail so far. I need a plan "B" it seems....

Well I have some bad news and some good news. The bad news is that the incubator spiked up to 104*, but the good news is that I have one chick, and more are on the way!!! There are two that are trying to lift out of their shells. They already chipped off the top, so not much longer. It looks like I'll come home to some chickies today. The one that hatched last night is in the brooder and doing well.
