I was just looking at threads with what were thought to be RIR hens. then a few people said sex links. So I had to go out to my barn and take picks of my girls... I was sold RIR I know I did not get them at the best place but thought that TSC got their RIR from reputible breeders. So are my girls RIR or Sex links? If they are just sex links then Phooey cause I have atleast a few RIR girls coming from Mcmurray next week... Also now my BR I did not get from TSC and they are indeed BR right? AHHHH this sex link not sex link thing has me confrazzled!!! Oh and it is so much easier to get the boys to pose then the girls!! Also dont mind the pics it looks dark because it is another beautiful day in rainy Florida I dont know why its called the sunshine state cause I havent seen much sun lately!! Oh ages all of these guys are around 24 weeks.

They sure look like sex links to me. Mine was a laying machine and the sweetest hen I had. Sorry they aren't the RIR you thought, but they should be great birds.

I have RIRs and sex links, sorry, I think they look more like the sex links too! But, like mom'sfolly said, they really are sweet birds.

They look like production reds to me. Exhibition RIR (as compared to hatchery production RIR) are VERY dark in colour--a red that is almost black it is so dark. Sex links have some white feathering mixed in with the red, so I do not think that is what you have unless your photo doesn't show the white (male red sex-links are mostly white with a little red, females have a little white but are mostly red). http://www.feathersite.com/Poultry/CGP/Sex-links/BRKSexLink.html shows a number of photos of various sex-links.

They look like sexlinks to me. Our TSC didn't have RIRs seperated.... they had a bin that said "assorted reds" that included sexlinks, RIRs, and New Hamphire Reds.
