Thankyou very much! I finnished hatching out. However my incubator was calibrated wrong resultinglow temps and several did not make it after lockdown. But I do have a couple Olive eggers and A maran mix and a couple others from this group so thankyou. I would of hatched at 90% from shipped eggs if it was not for my bator issues. I may order another batch once I fix my incubator issues.

Can you tell me how long you've been in marans ...lines of your birds?

Hi Barb, I've had Marans for about 6 years. I've gotten birds (and still have some older hens) from Adamson Acres, 2XL, and a local breeder that claims well known lines, but most are bred by me. They lay between 4-5, with an occassional 6, on the Marans scale. That said, I am a hobbiest, who is learning about the breed as I go, and I don't show. I hope that helps!
