What is the difference between Blue Copper and Blue Birchen?

Those are just two of many different Marans color varieties
A Blue Copper has a blue base color with dark red hackles on the hens and dark red on the head, hackles, back, wing coverts and saddle feathers. Here are a couple pics of mine:

A Blue Birchen has a blue base color with silver (looks white) in those same locations on the birds. This is one of my 2 Blue Birchen roosters:

Hi there! Sorry for the delayed reply. We were on a camping trip where we had no cell signals or WiFi so I’m working on getting caught up
The hens are laying very well so we’re all caught up on orders and can get a group to you whenever you’re ready!
