Hello all. I am a newbie from Adelaide, South Australia. I have 9 chooks and a rooster. The rooster is my avatar but I don't know what he is. Maybe a Red Jungle Fowl? I have joined the forums because I have just aquired 3 quail and intend asking some really dumb questions

Come join us at the aussie thread in Where am I? Where are you? You should post in the what breed or gender is this? section in the forum for the rooster. For quail tips go to the other backyard poultry area.

Ok sorry weird. Hello Alabamy. I have been to Fort Rucker and may have flown over your chooks.
P.S. Crazy I posted as per your advice and discovered my rooster is a Wellsummer.

I live in Adelaide too!! Always exciting to meet other people who live here on BYC.
Fire away with your dumb questions. I had a lot of those when I was just starting out with chickens. Everyone has to begin somewhere... Anyway I'm not sure what breed your rooster is, but you should post in What breed or gender is this, and I can assure you there will be people who know.
