She is not a bantam, that's for sure. Bantam games are very small. Mine are smaller than my dad's pigeons. She is probably a full grown game hen (LF). They are normally on the small side of what you would consider a LF bird. I believe they get around 4 pounds for hens. But I would say she is full game.

Wow,, if she's full grown I'm wondering about her safety with him. Right now I don't know where she is, everyone went to bed while I was gone to dinner with my nephew and family. He's not on the porch where he usually sleeps so I imagine wherever she is he is, and it BETTER be here at home!

Nugget found himself a wild game hen. She should lay very light and small eggs. They are WONDERFUL mama birds and their chicks are hardy.

Thye will clutch about 6 to 8 eggs in places you would not dream of.

They are feirce in their warnings with their babies and can be a very sweet bird.

We have two now in the nursery with their little ones. A total of 13 chicks.

Nugget is a lucky guy.
