For those that use the Nurture Right 360, how has it faired in cooler rooms?

The instructions say to use in a room that is 74-80°F, and never below 72°F, but I don't know anyone that keeps their house that warm, especially overnight, and we certainly don't.

I don't keep my house that warm, and I've never had problems. The only time it's ever had trouble holding temperature is when I was using in it my garage in winter. 40 degrees was a bit too cold for it.

I just set up this incubator too. I was worried after reading that because we turn the heat down to 55-60 when we’re gone during the day and at night. With my janoel I wrapped a blanket around it but this has ventilation at the bottom so I can’t do that. What I decided to do is put a small heater we had in my 1/2 bathroom it’s set to keep the room 67-68 and all is going good.

My house is 67° F in the winter and somewhere around 72-74° F in the summer. I would die if it were hotter, lol. I have had many successful hatches in my Nurture Right 360s with the ambient room temperatures being in that range.

These are my Nurture Right 360 numbers from last year, my summer hatches were definitely harder as you'll see in my numbers but I feel this was due to the intense heat we experience here in the summer rather than a fault of the incubators because where eggs were collected during cooler periods the hatch rates increased again, but for those that may be curious:

3/1/19: 80% (started with 22, 8 infertile, 3 quitters, 11 live chicks) Version 2 Nurture Right incubator

3/31/19: 100% (started with 22, 4 infertile, No quitters, 18 live chicks) Version 2 Nurture Right incubator

4/23-4/25/19: 82% (started with 44, 11 infertile, 6 quitters, 27 live chicks) Version 2 & 3 Nurture Right incubators

5/14/19: 100% (started with 11, No infertile, No quitters, 11 live chicks) Version 3 Nurture Right incubator (started eggs in Little Giant)

5/16/19: 70% (started with 20, No infertile, 6 quitters (1 was a late loss), 14 live chicks) Version 2 Nurture Right incubator

6/21/19-6/22/19: 64% (started with 33, 11 infertile, 8 quitters (2 were late losses), 14 live chicks) Version 2 & 3 Nurture Right 360 incubators

7/5/19: 100% (started with 4, 2 infertile, 0 quitters, 2 live chicks) Version 3 Nurture Right (finished last few days for lockdown and hatch in Little Giant)

7/16/19: 59% (started with 28, 1 infertile, 11 quitters, 16 live chicks) Version 2 & 3 Nurture Right 360 incubators

8/31/19: 88% SHIPPED EGGS (started with 15, 7 infertile, 1 quitter, 7 live chicks) Version 3 Nurture Right

I have my NR 360 running right now. I never had problems with room temps being too cold. I keep the house 67 at night and 70 in the daytime. Warm rooms are another story. Last year I first placed it in the spare room. One sunny day walked in to a very warm room with the sun just beaming through the window. Luckily the eggs where fine but temp was increased by almost 2 dagrees.

Make sure you get a separate thermometer and hydrometer. I have the NR 360 set to 100.5 real temp is 99.7. The hydrometer is off as well. My incubator reads about 10% higher than actual humidity.

I just purchased this incubator the other day and also was concerned about the room temperature they recommended. It’s good to hear that shouldn’t be a problem. Can I hear more people confirm that, please?

We don't have central heating/cooling and have a hard time keeping temperatures stable through the night in our house. We keep the incubators in our bedroom with us as the temperature doesn't swing as drastically there. It's probably gotten as cold as 60 degrees some nights and as hot as 85 degrees some days and I still tend to get excellent hatch rates and a pretty stable temperature in my nurture right. :)
