FYI, Manna Pro purchased Harris Farms 4 years ago so they are now handling technical support or warranty claims.

I know that certain people have complained about the fan for this unit not being properly guarded and hitting newly hatched chicks causing death or injury. Evidently theres a guard that the manufactuerer will provide you which fixes this problem.

I've contact Manna Pro to see if they will provide the fan guard.

I do not think the fan can cause damage, not powerful enough. My chicks have gotten struck many times without damage.
