Just wondering........has anyone used this yet? A new feed that helps your chickens through the molt and prevents mites, all at the same time! Too good to be true???????

We're on day three of it. We have a bird stuck mid molt and are trying this to see if it helps her. I'll update with any news.

Each day i try to provide hens laying & in molt with(small amounts) sunflower hearts , shelled peanuts , safflower seeds , flax seeds and cheap groundbeef , boiled or fresh beef liver and beef heart .
On all of these use just a small amount of each and mix ... only give the hens a small amount in hand given to each one or thrown where all can get (if all - make sure to put out enough partial handfuls to include all hens in different directions).
I throw them little chunks of ground beef and/or liver and beef hearts same way(if boiled it's easier to feed but they say it takes away from the value /// i really don't know and do it both ways at times)

I'd do just about anything to help poor Miss Olive grow some feathers. She looks just pitiful.

Our TSC doesn't carry it either. We found it at a store called Farm & Fleet. You might want to check and see what your area farm stores have.

Just got my 4 bags from Agway today. Smells just like Agway Hearty Hen! Don't know if they like it yet. Got 4 bags to go 6 weeks or so & we'll see how it goes.
