It's not that hot here, yet - but I have noticed a few times where a hen will exit the nest box, and go stand in the water bowl for a minute to cool down! So after the rain passes, I guess I'll have to pull out all their "pools" from storage... I'm not ready for summer - I want more SPRING!

That’s a great idea as well. How much water should I add to the pool? Will they drown?

You can also make your own electrolyte mix and add it to their water - I do this at the height of our hot, humid summers (along with adding ice to waterers, using shadecloth, etc.).

It doesn't have to be very full, just enough to completely cover their toes, the top of the foot; they don't like to get their feathers wet!
