NWGA Poultry Club of Calhoun SHOW FEB 4th(show location in DALTON, GA!

This was my first show ever! I talked my husband into going--he thought the golden sea-bright was very pretty, he noticed the "chaps' on the Cochin. I saw the 1st blue colors and found them just beautiful! I loved seeing all the breeds I've only seen pictures of, and guessing breeds before I read them. I had hoped to see 2 breeds of chicken (American dem / dorkings) from my list and 2 breeds of ducks(k. Campbell's/Indian runners) that I'm considering. The Toulouse was just the best--loved the honking,lol.. I thought is was well organized and found the few people we talked to friendly--i wish the judge who was helping the juniors with learning to show had been wearing a mike of some sort.
It was really great to see the juniors showing and see kids getting excited about animals. Really would have liked to meet with a few people who sell some of the Pullets (australorps, dem.,buff orp., barred rocks, and a couple others I need, as soon as it stops raining and drys or freezes over so we can move the coop to our property

when or if ever it happens.
