Ny-chicken-lover chickenstock '17

I WILL be coming to this May event - but due to other issues/things happening - I MAY be having one similar at my place on July 29th ... In Brandon Vermont - any interest here in coming to a picknic day here as well ?

There will also be some horse people at this  -   so it is more a farmstock day and I'll have a speaker here on some homestead subject ....

I would certainly be interested! Not sure if I can make it yet, as I am looking into moving,so we shall see.

I am still planning on getting out to the May one.

OH - and let me be clear this is not a chickenstock and not a competition with OURS - this is more a farm get - to -gether where if you want to arrange the chicken deals - it is a great place to meet - with also a picnic (potluck) and a raffle table. So mine will be horse, farm, chicken :0 he he but I am finailzing the issue now ...

Sounds like fun! My son's 5th birthday is the 27th, and I'm due to have a baby August 8th. Traveling would be difficult at that time.

Yep - everybody here is - and it is near my birthday so will be wrapped up with that  - since the last 2 years something happened to take our family attention and I haven't got to celebrate them ... this will be the big 50 for me - so it is 3 years' worth of birthday's in one.  

You didn't look at all near 50 last time I saw you, probably still don't!

it sounds like fun but it would be a 4 + hour drive for me ..
Now I see why you stay in a hotel ..

Yep - if you figure 8 hours of driving a day - plus loading and unloading - then the chickenstock itself - it is not just long - it is exhausting ... so it is pretty much a 4.25 to 4.5 hour drive to it for me to NY - so I certainly make it my mini-vacation/road trip of the year
