I just got the email that the meeting is cancelled for tomorrow, with no explanation as to why.

It is being re-scheduled for next saturday, the 29th, same time, 1pm. I hope everyone that was planning on coming will be able to come next week.

Shoveled out the driveway, the tractor and run. Nothing like 8 supervisors standing on their roost, looking out their window and bawking at you to hurry up so they can come out. What a bunch of nags! Oh--had to put down a little hay so their diva feet didnt have to touch the snow I couldnt scrape off the ground. Wind has picked up bigtime so they are hiding under the tractor watching the kitchen door in hopes that I will bring out more goodies. Naw, my chickens arent spoiled at all...

Well I just came in from snowblowing and clearing a path so i can get to my garden. I've been laying cardboard over the ground to kill the grass and weeds. I plan to make it bigger. I took some pics of the coop with my camera but they're not so good. DD took some from the window of her room and they came out real good.

But you can see the two runs and how I covered them with plastic. Last year I had some really good clear plastic and the chickens could be seen better. This stuff said clear but it's not. I may put in some cheap storm windows so they can be seen from the outside. Anyhow I put a bale of straw inside and let them tear it apart. When spring comes I'll use it in my garden. The coop is divided in two. Roosters on one side and Nick and the girls on the other. Next year a new hoop coop is going in. On the right is a big crate i bought off craigs that I want to turn in to a small breeder or broody coop. Which of course all means more snow blowing. Lord have mercy!

Love your barns! Our drive is probably 300' long with a big turnaround at the end. I love our property but sometimes one of those tiny drives in a development would be much easier to clear-would most likely have blacktop and not stones too!
