Tab's chicken obsession :
We have some roos that need new homes.
Roo #1 is I believe a brown red americauna. I'm not sure because the technicalities of this breed confuse me. ETA(turns out he is an EE) Born spring 2010. We got him from Rudy Brouilette. We thought he was a she we were wrong. We don't need another roo.

Roo #2 is a barred rock mutt. Mother barred rock mutt in with a barred rock roo and leghorn roo. Born June 2010.

Roo #3 is a cuckoo maran blue americauna cross. Born halloween week 2010. Father cuckoo maran and mother blue americauna. The cuckoo flock where I got this egg didn't lay very dark eggs. I think that if he was bred back to marans the offspring would lay nice olive color eggs. He is going to be a pretty boy when he is fully grown with his neck and saddle feathers being striped like the cuckoo maran.

Tab, this is what a brown red looks like. I took the photo off of the Ameraucana photos site.
The call it brown-red, but in acutally, its black & red color. The black & red colors, are not mixed up, they are solid and just like in the pictures. Hope this helps you get an idea of the color.
