Well I"m still on. So we could always do a tailgate party at the TSC if they'd let us.

Anyhow just to let certain people know, hint, hint. If the silkie eggs I"m bringing back hatch, I'll be keeping them. I hate incubating and I've some eggs I'd like to hatch and from what I understand they're pretty strong in the brooding department. Of course there is no guarantee they'll be pullets. Who knows.

Allaboutdemchicks has some really nice silkies from what I've seen. She shows so she's sure to have some good stock I think. But don't worry I"m not greedy and I will share when the time is right. Plus I'm planning on coming back to AL in April so you can work out something with her and I'll be glad to carry them back.

I saw the ad. I even opened Yahoo and was typing the email in the "to"....THEN I remembered I don't have a coop yet.

SO I closed the email and sat on my hands until they stopped twitching.

Maybe next year.

What I really needs is one or two silkie hens/pullets/sexed chicks. (but chick size would be my last choice, cuz I don't have anyplace to brood them) So if you happen to have a couple silkies around you want to sell in mid to late April (when I am promised my coop will be ready) I am interested.

No, I don't think I'll do silkies for a while BUT I do have four Mille Fleur D'uccle pullets I am *considering* selling. I love them, but I am concerned they'll get eaten at their size when they can get out and roam around our property (they've been 'cooped up' for months).. They are so cute and friendly that I just haven't decided yet.

As for my OE chicks, I did have one person write me already, but haven't heard back. Worst case I'll wait another month or so so I can sort out the genders, then send all the boys back to sonew.. .. You did want more roos.. right, Nat?

Do your Mille Fleur D'uccle pullets have feathered legs/feet? My land is very very very (you get the idea) wet. The pond out back floods onto my lawn. I know silkies do, but I want 2 for broody purposes, not showing....I do worry about wet feet feathers...Maybe I need to research breeds that go broody regularly.

My major goal is to have a flock of multi colored egg layers. I love chickens, but I love novelty more.

Are you still down south? I looked at her website & she doesn't offer eggs.

I would love to get another color of silkie. Ya know... BBS & white silkies are broody too!

TSC has a sign up saying they welcome tailgates, fundraisers, etc. I think we should do it!

That would be me! I am sure it's my ad you saw! PM me if you are interested - two of the eight are almost for sure boys, but I can't tell on the others yet.

HAHA at first I thought it was me as I have OE roos listed for FREE!!!! 3 of them

and BLRW roos and
pure Black Ameraucana roos 6$ each on those-should I continue?? BCM roos... bantam lav AM roos lol

ACHK!! Too many boys. I am sorry. My DD 8th birthday was today and our TSC was supposed to get chicks in yesterday, no deal, then today, again no deal. She wanted chicks for her birthday and we were just going to get her some banties to carry around. She is great though and said she'll wait till they come in. Not like we do not have 65 eggs in the bator now!

Looks like they're on sundays. March 13th & 27th, April 10th & 17th are the dates I saw. Consignments @ 8 am & auction starts at 11:30.

How are their auctions?

I awoke to a garbled first crow out of one of my Del roos this morning so did my youngest. On the up side she used the potty for the first time.
