NY chicken lover!!!!

Chatty bunch you were while I was at work!

Stony--glad it passed. We do the same thing.

Cass--good luck with your mom. Lots of patience needed.

Jlaw--Guess you will be busy this weekend. Get er done!

So a warmup this weekend. I can finally clean out all the frozen stuff in the coops and freshen up everything. Thank goodness. Its driving me batty to see it like that. Sorry, but Im kinda fastidious about coop housekeeping. Like them to be healthy for the cheeps. Have to make a run to fhe feed store before work tomorrow to get shavings and a bag of feed so I can tackle that job. Another 3 egg day today. These girls need to get laying.

Okay, bedtime. This old dog has had it. Later peeps.

Yep I need to do some cleaning also they are getting kicked out for a bit so I can spray it down also. which ever day I don't have water that's on my list to do now thanks for reminding me.

Finally took the camera out and got a pic of my roo. He looks like hell, but as soon as the bad stuff falls off and it heals up he'll be fine...right

It is looking better already, if you can imagine it was worse a few days ago. I feel bad that it got this bad.

I didn't realize that he had a little cottage cheese still on his beak

That's what Gru looks like and I'm curious as to what his comb is going to look like...
Here s my good old boy Before frostbite

During frostbite

After frostbite

I noticed him today ...he has a little line on top of frostbite.
I never put anything on it ..I was afraid I would make it worse .it just darked & was gone after a while
SEE he just lost his tips

I have to say I like the no points on comb. I don't know why but I don't like the points on single combs. That nice round look he has now I wish there was a breed for that. Hard to tell how the waddles will look once he stands are they wrinkled or flater like before?

LOL AWWWW
Whats a leg bag ?

yeah, a urine collection bag attatched to an indwelling foley cathater. (I know, far more info than you wanted) She had her bladder "fixed" and then couldn't go...so they put a cathater in until she heals enough for things to work right again. And it was medically necessary for her to have this surgury....bladder infections 6 - 7 months out of the year due to incomplete voiding of her bladder. (again, more info than you wanted ).So it wasn't *my* fault that she is in pain and having to deal with these issues....but I get to hear all about it....constantly....in a high pitched whiny voice. (And this is what I do all day every day....so I have little patience left at the end of my day but I try to remember that she is in pain, not trying to be a pain)

Young Men No Doubt ! It is a Syracuse phenomenon for Sure ! Have you seen them with open sandals / no socks also ? My Therm / Humidity monitor is small 3 x 4 inch . I think kit would fit in your lit Brin - walmart - 20.00 i think
This is the one I have. Fits in there, barely, but again it takes up 1-2 spots for eggs. The Brinsea Mini only holds 7 eggs to begin with.

she has both, but won't slow down, so she wants to use the leg bag during day and large on at night. And can't remember how to switch them. (And take my word for it, it is NOT rocket science)
Now, now, I'm sure she's not your age and things get harder as we get older. You don't see as well or hear as well or remember as well. I reckon it's gets her down.

The tragedy of old age is not that one is old, but that one is young. ~Oscar Wilde,

Old age is not for the faint of heart, when body, and beauty both fall apart.

You have my sympathy. This too shall pass. No pun intended.
