NY chicken lover!!!!

Does anyone keep there ducks in with chickens or are they housed seperate

Ours are in the same pen but have separate houses, not that the ducks use theirs. As you can imagine, ducks have more moisture to them. That means higher humidity in your coop and that's not good.

He said that he was taking a break for awhile

It's just like him not to ask permission.

I did not know this. How do you deal with it ? If I build them a hoop should it be without a floor. Where the heck is Stony when you need him. He's probably got a great set up. Someone call him and tell him to get back here. Maybe he's on the Duck thread. I go look.

It's so wet here I bet I could build a 4 panel coop and dig a small pond in the middle of it.

Meh don't really care enough...I don't eat a lot of bread. Plus I could go out and get some if I really needed some.
However, I do like this suggestion of making sour dough. I've always wanted to try it...

Sourdough bread is sour. And you can't just decide to make it today. It takes 2 weeks to get the sourdough starter started. If you really want to try it google it and there are loads of directions. (Personally, I would just skip the "make it " part and buy a loaf at the market once Snowmageden ends)

I don't. I keep them locked out of the coop at night. They have their own house if they want to get out of the weather.

I'm located in northeastern N.Y. in a little town called Peru. thanx for the welcome

Welcome. I actually know where Peru is. Buy apples up there sometimes. (My SO has rental property in Morrisonville) How come we have more snow here in Albany than you guys do up there?
