NY chicken lover!!!!

Maybe your landlord can tell you who takes care of his properties. I have no one to recommend, we have propane, was unhappy with a couple of issues over the years.

Just got back from school drop off and had one of these things run across the road in front of me right before I got to my driveway!

This thing was jet black, and long like a weasel/ferret. Just googled it and found out it was a mink!

I know!!! I'm just more surprised to see them out here. I've never seen one in my life! More and more little creatures are starting to come out of the woodwork around here :-/

You can find a set up design on line that uses a Rat trap to catch and kill those buggers. I've been using Rat traps for squirrels. I have one set in the garage but now it's gone and I have no idea where the trap went. I also set one in the yard for the squirrels and while they've set it off they get away. I figure they got a bloody nose. I did have one get snapped in our attic at the old house and die in the eaves. What a stink. Had to open windows till the thing rotted and the smell went away.

Anyhow get a trap and set it up and deal with the bugger. Might make a good Fur Stole.

oh yes yuck.. hat that happen last year. Moved my ancient 1950's stove and found I had a huge hole in the floor where the rat came in from the joist between the 1st and second floor... Died in the wall... stink to high heaven!~ I use sticky traps and tape them down now so the suckers can't flop away. Since getting cats we have not had much trouble but def time to do the attic again just in case. I just really hate even going up there its creepy. I'd like to find some big hotel type traps , the black ones that they go in and can't come back out like for mice. But bigger for a rat.

They do sell them at Country Max and some of the other feed stores. I would think you could order them on line too.

I once used poison only to have the mouse die in the wall. Had to pull the trim off and stab the thing is a Knitting needle to get it out.

The one I used in the attic was nailed to the floor but the squirrel managed to get out and die in the eave. At least in the yard they go away and die. I hope.

A good snap trap at least kills them dead.

The chicks are all out enjoying the grass and sun before we get the snow. Working today on making my new brooder boxes. Have to separate the chicks and the ducks. The pekin runs them over most of the time. Also going to let the pekin run around for a bit today too to let it stretch it legs some more. They have plenty of room, but sometimes I think it's feet are extra big and it trips over itself. It is getting so big. I have to let them take their baths in the big sink in the wash room so they have room.

Bwahahaha,my husband came in the other room at a party (I was hugely pregnant and hiding lol) and told me one of my mil's friends wanted to check what sex baby I was going to have (ds my first) by looking in my eyes and I laughed and said "can I tell her she is a lunatic" lol that was vetoed
