NY chicken lover!!!!

We are planing on making a hoop coop almost exactly like Ranchers , but we are going to add wheels to it so that we can move it. DH likes where I want to put it, but when I mentioned plowing a path to it during the winter he hated it. So we decided that we are going to add wheels to it so that we can tow it where we want it to go. Maybe that might work for you. Kind of like a large hop coop tractor.

Good idea. Thanks

That is so nice. Now I have some lumber would you care to come and build one for me?

I even have the corrogated panels in the back. Don't have the pine tree or ducks though.

Really it's very nice.

Honestly, if I had someone to hold things steady and some level ground I could probably put one together in a day. This one took a couple of weeks because I kept getting rained on and didn't want my tools getting wet

. I just love building things! I used my retirement gift from work to buy a power saw and cordless drill and haven't stopped building since.

Ugh.. Its fair week ( Oswego County) day 1 and Im exhausted already. My family doesn't have any animals there anymore, ( my oldest daughter use to show cows with 4h and had a show rabbit) but we are active members of our snowmobile club, my hubby being the president and the club gets paid to do the parking. So him and the kids take the camper up and stay the 5 days its open. Me, i stay home, keep the house chores done, the laundry done, all the back/forth running with the clean/dirty laundry more food etc.. Its exhausting! They love it so I try not to complain..
With that Im also getting my 14 year old daughter ready to head to washington dc with the marching band for 2 day trip/parade there. I have to have her up and dropped off by 4 tomorrow morning.. (Yawn).
Its bed early for me!
Hope everyone has a good evening.
Take care
Terri..:)

Oh I understand completely. I have to do everything by myself too, which is why I do things the way I do. I do the hoops cuz I can't build any other way by myself. Bending those thing over takes a some ingenuity. Sometimes I have to sleep on it before it hits me how I can do it.

Though I need a corded saw cuz the battery doesn't last long enough for all that I can do in a day. I run out between drilling, cutting and screwing things in.

I could have used a one piece for the back of this hoop, but I can't handle it by myself so I cut it in two and used four pieces. I've gotten bonked on the head more than once trying to stable things.

Girls didn't want to go in tonight! Must of filled up on bugs, slugs, and worms, and you know your homemade smelt bread sucks when your chickens wont even eat it-) Everybody iced down with their tenth frozen water of the day. My white doe showing signs of heat stress been checking her every hour, seems white rabbits have harder time with heat then blacks. Misted her, ice bottles gave her some mint to help cool her down, don't really want to pull out of the cage do to adding more stress. House sitting took the dog with me to water plants and fill bird feeders, he spotted the stream had nice cooling swim.

Loved the middle aged ladies video

Stay safe keep drinking

Well I went out to LuvMyChick's today and grabbed her raccoon trap. DH set it tonight in one our garbage cans that are empty since our garbage came this morning. We'll see why happens. Again, since they are empty I left them out near the porch where they used to be when he was getting into them rather than the shed. Fingers crossed!

Your Duck hut is CUTE ! Your pond looks like mine . Our duckies just love mud ...They are always making mud in the shared water outside .
What is that little step made of ? do they use it ? I took 2 2 x 4 and put them around the pool...for them to have a boost up ...
They seem to ignore them
