NY chicken lover!!!!

All of my large hens. I have some bantam bantam hens, but all my large hens are gone...except Mrs. Frizz with the wound under her wing.
Oh-that's such a shame. Do you have their eggs to throw into the incubator? The first year I had my hens, 14, they got wiped out in broad daylight in a run I had designed for them. I cried for months, literally. I can only imagine what you are going through!

Luv, I am sorry for your loss.

Weasels can get in small places. All my hoops have hardware cloth. I would not trust anything bigger.

I've noticed something chewed the plastic in the run which is poultry wire, but the coop itself is hardware cloth. The fleece on the door is chewed too. It's been that way for a while, but I've not seen anything when I go out at night.

Too I have lights around the garden and in the runs. The lights make it easy to see when I want to take a nightly stroll. I'd do it more if it weren't so blasted muddy.

Coops all have wooden floors. I'd be too nervous with a dirt floor. Unless of course I had dug and laid hardware cloth.

I hope you've taken precautions with your ducks.

Folks there is a good Youtube video on how to catch weasels and build a trap. It's not that hard and uses a basic rat trap. Have a look if you know there are weasels about.

I haven't built on because I'm afraid of attracting them to the area, though I did catch one last winter near my garage catching mice. Another good reason to keep the mice out.

So I may have won an egg auction, on top of getting a dozen spitz from PhoredaBurds, 14 Wyandottes being shipped from PA, maybe 3 Ameraucanas eggs from Chris. And I've been setting aside a few of my mix eggs to fill in.
Getting hubby another hive for his upcoming birthday, maybe he won't notice the overflowing incubator? :oops:

@Chicken girl 15

I've got PVC feeders that work ok. They certainly have room for improvement, but they work ok. Do u have pics? These are mine:
