NY chicken lover!!!!

Saw a ad on Craig's List, Mt Vision near Oneonta, small farm with many rare breeds, hatching eggs and chicks. They don't have a website and they are not on BYC.
Legbars, Rhodebars, BC Marans, Lemon Cuckoo Niederrheiners,
Gold and Lemon Frisian Gulls,
Swedish Flower Hens, Isbars,
Wheaten Sulmtalers,Partridge Brahmas, Peal Guinea Hens.
I inquired about their Rhodebars and they linked their pinterest pics. Looks like they have some nice birds, and they didn't mention them but I see they have a small flock of Svart Hona also.
they are good people. Not out to take over the poultry business and a wealth of information. They are very nice.

I did mention to them (Mt Vision) this thread.
I really don't need another breed, but those Rhodebars are some beautiful birds, fell in love with the look when they were first for sale at GreenFire. Hard to decipher from people on here how the breed is doing, I've heard there's been genetic issues.
I'd like to stick to American breeds, and dual purpose only, but dang, some of those breeds out there are just so awesome. If you could have every chicken you ever wanted....

I see GreenFire has British Ixworth now, man I'd love them, look a lot like my white giants, don't get quite as big, but grow faster and have a pea comb!!!
I haven't had much problems with straight combs but some say a pea comb would be better for our awesome winters....

Stinky couldnt walk / stand up yesterday ..
I dont know if another chicken attacked it or it was just weak .
I brought it in and gave it some vitamins...it ate some ..
Still flat in the cage this morning ..
So I was thinking maybe it was malnourished ..had a deficiency... as it eats mostly the scratch grains not the food .

So I gave it some canned cat food ...
It had to be held up to eat ...it gobbled it up ...almost a half a can
I used the bowl to prop it up ..I think it may have a curly toe syndrome caused by a riboflavin deficiency.

It is standing in the cage now
