View media item 7895751The newest member of my flock arrived August 3rd. :)

Sorry it's been so long. I have a lot to manage. My chicken flock has shrunk to 17. I have no interest in expanding again this year. My kids have helped train the chickens to stay in our yard so they're back to free ranging. The primary goals of Pleasant Row Blues and Pleasant Row Chocolates are still there, but my number of base birds is smaller than I had previously planned.

So, how are the Ameraucana, Pavlovskaya, and Gulls that people got at Chicken Stock?

Congratulations!!! I was hoping you'd share some baby pictures!!!

The Amerucana I got from you are doing well - the pullet is very shy though. She stays in the coop almost all day.

I have a flock of 12 silkies. One of my biggest concerns is what to do with all these roosters that are pooping up. So far 3 crowers and at least 2 more looking like potential crowers. I don't mind the crowing but I know eventually I will have problems and will not be healthy for the hens. Anyone interested in FREE bearded Silkie roosters LOL

Starting the process of getting chicken flock back down to a 'reasonable' number for winter. Offering to my fellow BYC first.
Spitz from PhoredaBurds: 1 silver roo with very full feathered head, 2 chamois hens, 1 black hen, 1 black hen with white streaks. Tired of moving them every night from the barn rafters to the coop.
Colombian wyandotte cockerel, hatched from TalkBahk2Me. Good size and still growing.
Ayam Cemani mix roo hatched from Pyxis, a couple streaks of buff in his neck, is the main rooster of the flock, well behaved and never had problems with him, other than he won't allow other roos/cockerels in the coop.
6 chicks - mix breeds, hatched in last week of July.
These are the ones I can think of off the top of my head, but know there are others I can spare as well. I'm located in Cortland County.
