many of my young girls are molting. But my older girls are laying full speed ahead. As are the Sumatra's, at least the ones that aren't broody. My Pekins are also molting. They haven't laid in 5 days. That hurts. They eat a lot of food.

My quail eggs were delivered right to the house. They didn't give me the option to pick them up.

They will! They're coming express mail, I've always gone to pick them up before, but I guess the live stuff is now coming from another hub? I think they used to then deliver it to my local PO where I picked it up, but maybe because its express and not priority?

Anyways, they just called a little bit ago and asked if I wanted to come pick them up or have them delivered. That was SUPER fast shipping, from CA to NY in one day! I didn't expect them to even be here until tomorrow, now I have to go clean a cage, lol

My Cayuga eggs shipped too, only now I have half incubated silkie eggs in there. :O

Now I just need to order Silkies and Black Orps and ummm, probably something else, lol I didn't get much of my chick ordering done last year with having the baby and all...(I thought once I had her I wouldn't be so darn tired and would have all this time to catch up on stuff, yeah, not so much.) I decided I might as well just order live chicks and pay the extra rather than do the whole hatching egg thing since I stink so bad at it.. I should just pay someone to hatch for me and be done with it, anyone have a 4H kid close by that wants to earn some extra moola?

Ginny--my sister has been waitressing and watching my girls for the past couple years while trying to find a solid job with benefits. This new job is good for her so she wouldn't stay watching he girls even if I paid her. I have a different family member watch them everyday working around everyone's work schedules. My sister watched them 2 days a week. She lived with me rent free and she watched the girls a couple days, a good deal. My baby sister has grown up--living with her boyfriend now and has a steady job.

WHHOOOO HOOOO!!! I am sooo glad they did. After I found one of mine that wasn't fertile at all, I was worried. I am thrilled all three of the ones I gave you were fertile and to have all 3 hatch is almost amazing.

yes they will deliver them if you call them and ask them to. If they are express mail they have to deliver them to the door. I know I used to deliver pigeons.

one of my best roo's only has one good eye. He lost the other in a rooster fight. My flock is way too large to coddle to one without eyes.

Me either. I"m just to busy to give special care to a chicken.

Heck I told DW that if anything happens to me just pull the plug. She said no problem.

I kinda think she's to anxious though, I woke up and found her holding a mirror under my nose the other night. I said what the heck are you doing? She said just checking.

She carries a copy of my will in her purse.

She's already tried to donate my organs, but the doc told her she can't til I'm dead. She said "I don't know doc he don't look so good, are you sure we can't just donate a few now?"
